Teaching language to learners who happen to not be human
This is a community-generated site dedicated to helping people teach learners to communicate using sound board Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Devices.
It is inspired by the work of Christina Hunger, who demonstrated that it was possible to teach dogs to use a sound board to express their thoughts and needs.
We're constantly discovering new things about teaching words to dogs, and so there's a need for a place that brings together tips, tricks, do's and don'ts that seem to work.
This site is a work in progress, and content here is changing as we learn more. Your thoughts, comments, and feedback are what make this all possible! If you'd like to share thoughts, comments or feedback, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org.
